VIRTUAL PRIVATE SECURE INTERNET (VPSI) TECHNOLOGY is a next generation internet technology that sits on top of the existing internet infrastructure and creates an end-to-end, on demand (virtual), PRIVATE SECURE INTERNET between an enterprise and its customers. Based on the REL-ID Mutual Authentication & Encryption Protocol (RMAP), VPSI protects a bank and its customers against all types of attacks. Since its launch 2 years ago, we now have 5 public sector banks in India (State Bank of India, Bank of India and Canara bank to name a few) as our customers, and several pilots in APAC and Middle East are currently underway. We already have more than 200,000 end-users enrolled in this technology as of now (and counting).

UNIKEN's VPSI PLATFORM – BASIC FEATURES

• Mutual Authentication and Built in 2FA: Both the end-points of the communication channel are authenticated before any connection is established. This ensures that the customers connect only to the real enterprise and vice versa. The solution comes with in-built 2FA technology for user authentication both software and hardware form factors
• Identity Binding: The identities of all the elements are tightly bound to each other – the end-user, VPSI client side agent, client side hardware, and server-side hardware, and server side VPSI software
• Light-weight: No administrative rights required to download and run the VPSI software, the download size is  less than 700 KB!
• End-to-end Encryption and Control: All the data travelling on the VPSI is encrypted using best-of-breed technologies. The enterprise has control over who can access its VPSI. All its applications sit on this network and hence are protected from unauthorized access.
• Transparent: Due to the application level tunnelling in a VPSI framework, the rest of the desktop applications are completely oblivious to the VPSI agent, and continue to function without any change

OPTIONAL SECURITY FEATURES

• Secure Shell: The client side is secured by providing a private secure shell for all the VPI enabled applications to execute
  
  
• Hardened Secure Browser:  Hardened secure browsers are provided to protect the user from malicious browser based attacks

MULTI-CHANNEL VPSI FRAMEWORK

The VPSI Technology comes with multiple client side software form factors, each embedded with 2FA for user authentication

1. Standard Browser Launch Agent: This agent launches the usual browser over the VPSI network after authenticating the user using the built-in 2FA
   
   
2. Secure Hardened Browser Agent: This agent contains a secure hardened browser that blocks all malicious software like BHOs (browser helper objects) and add-ons to load along with the browser and blocks man-on-the-browser attacks, it launches after authenticating the user with the built-in 2FA
   
   
3. Desktop APP Agent: This agent provides the necessary functionality to the end-user for quick access, and is an always ON application, with built in 2FA
   
   
4. Secure USB: The software agent is also available on a USB token form factor. The USB tokens are bound to the user's User-ID and distributed by enterprise to its selected Users.
   
   
5. Mobile Secure APP Agent: This agent is available on various mobile devices including iPhone and iPad , and comes with built-in 2FA
